High School Accounting Teachers: Register Now to Attend MICPA HS Leaders Conferences Free With Your Students
An opportunity to teach and inspire in a unique setting, an MICPA High School Leaders Conference is a great place to show your students what’s in store for them if they choose to pursue a career in accounting. You and your choice of seven college-bound students are invited to attend at no cost. Events will be held at Western Michigan University (Mar. 15; register by Feb. 24) and Wayne State University (Mar. 29; register by Mar. 10). $630,000 in Accounting Scholarships Now Available 
The AICPA Legacy Scholarship application for undergraduate and graduate accounting students is now available on for the 2017-18 academic year. The Legacy Scholars Program will provide more than 100 scholarships for the 2017-18 academic year totaling over $630,000. READ MORE

Opportunity for Minority Accounting Students: AICPA Accounting Scholars Leadership Workshop
Applications are open for the 2017 Accounting Scholars Leadership Workshop, an annual invitational program for minority accounting students who plan to pursue the CPA designation. This event aims to strengthen students’ professional skills and understanding of the limitless possibilities and benefits of earning the CPA credential. Through speakers, panel discussions and interactive programs, participants gain confidence and an enhanced understanding of the various career paths within the accounting profession to prepare them for the steps that follow graduation. An all-expenses paid event, the AICPA Foundation covers the cost of student attendees’ transportation to/from the workshop location, hotel accommodations, training experience and meals. READ MORE

NASBA Launches Webpage Dedicated to Next Version of the CPA Exam
NASBA recently created a webpage  with information specifically tailored to the next version of the Exam. Candidates will find items such as the updated Candidate Bulletin, FAQs, Exam Blueprints, information about the Exam’s Higher Order Skills and contact information. The site also provides information about scheduling their BEC and REG Exam sections as well as information about the rescheduling process. READ MORE
