Small Firm Award

Recognizes a sole practitioner or a small firm who exemplifies the trusted advisor role, providing personalized client service, driving innovation within their practice, and contributing to their local community. This award celebrates the unique challenges and opportunities faced by small firm practitioners, whose leadership and adaptability create meaningful impact for their clients and communities.

The nomination deadline to submit is Monday, June 8, 2026.

All CPAs on staff must be an MICPA member and actively licensed CPA.
Nominees must work in a firm with between 1- 25 total staff members across all locations.
Self-nominations are welcomed and must include a letter of recommendation.

Builds strong, trusted relationships by delivering highly personalized client service.
Adapts and innovates to meet client and firm needs in the face of evolving challenges.
Demonstrates leadership and resilience as a key contributor to the success of their small firm.
Actively contributes to their local community through volunteerism, mentorship, or other impactful efforts.
