Comedy Night: Where Laughs Accrue

Celebrate the end of tax season and winter with a night of laughs, connection, and community at MICPA Comedy Night. Join fellow CPAs for a lively evening featuring a social hour, open bar, a strolling dinner, and a nationally recognized comedy lineup.

This special event celebrates MICPA’s 125th anniversary and 65 years of impact from the Michigan Accountancy Foundation (MAF), while supporting MAF’s goal of raising $125,000 in 2026 to invest in the next generation of CPAs.

Emcee: John Garrett
John Garrett, award-winning author and people-centric leadership speaker, is on a mission to create thriving workplaces. What the CPA-turned-professional comedian-turned two-time Emmy nominee may do best is champion the human side of professionals, consulting with organizations to develop more productive cultures while shining a light on their people’s rich lives outside of work. And his book, What’s Your “And”?, was named a Distinguished Favorite by the Independent Press Awards.
Mia Jackson
Headliner: Mia Jackson

Mia Jackson, a native of Columbus, GA, started her stand up career in Atlanta. Now living in New York, Mia performs regularly around the city when not on the road. She has written for Life & Beth (Hulu) and I Love Us (BET+). A true multi-hyphenate, Mia landed a voiceover role as the narrator for My Celebrity Dream Wedding (VH1) and has half hour comedy specials on MGM+ and Comedy Central. She was also recently featured on Season 2 of Nateland Presents: The Showcase and Don't Tell Comedy.

Cam Rowe is the biggest thing in comedy- literally! Standing 6’9”, Cam has been towering over the comedy scene with his larger-than-life presence and hilarious storytelling. The son of an NBA and college basketball star, Cam grew up surrounded by hoop dreams, sneakers, and sky-high expectations but instead of dunking basketballs, he’s been dunking on life’s absurdities with his sharp wit and stage presence. Cam was a regular on TruTV’s Storage Hunters for 3 seasons and starred with Aziz Ansari in Comedy Bang! Bang!
