TROY, MICHIGAN, 10/21/2025 – The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) has announced the recipients of its 2025 awards program, Celebrate, which recognizes the outstanding contributions of CPAs, educators, organizations and community leaders today, while paving the way for the accounting leaders of tomorrow.
The MICPA recognizes award honorees and promotes fundraising for the future of accounting November 12
TROY, MICHIGAN, 10/21/2025 – The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) has announced the recipients of its 2025 awards program, Celebrate, which recognizes the outstanding contributions of CPAs, educators, organizations and community leaders today, while paving the way for the accounting leaders of tomorrow.
The honorees will be recognized throughout the fall at three MICPA events, culminating at the Celebrate Awards on Nov. 12, 2025, at the Colony Club in Detroit.

Celebrate Awards
The Celebrate Awards will take place Nov. 12 from 5 to 8:30 p.m., honoring individuals and organizations making positive contributions to the accounting profession, Michigan communities and the business world. The event also raises funds for the Michigan Accountancy Foundation, which provides scholarships to accounting students and supports accounting career awareness and outreach programs across the state.
The evening will be emceed by Emmy award-winning journalist and retired Fox 2 News anchor Huel Perkins. Individual, firm and organizational honorees include:
- Accounting Teaching Excellence – Dr. Emily Zoet, Associate Professor of Accounting, Ferris State University
- Chair’s Service – Paul Glantz, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO, Emagine Entertainment
- Empower – Plante Moran
- Finance Visionary – Laci Christiansen, Finance Director and Treasurer, City of Hazel Park
- Future of Accounting – NABA Inc. at Western Michigan University
